Our new temporary home in Phoenix, AZ

Hey all, its been about 5 or so weeks now and we're still here in the sunny state of Arizona. It's been quite the climate change from Oregon, but we are all 3 adjusting quite nicely. That is until the "real" heat hits us! So I've decided the desert has its own interesting "beauty". A few of the common plants we've seen here are actually quite pretty. The trees are also a different story. Very cool looking but not much in the way of "leafy" or "shady". I appreciate the beauty nonetheless.

Our apartment complex is pretty nice, I made sure to scope it out and research big time before moving anywhere. We have a nice sized pool, a hot tub (haha), and best of all a HUGE workout room with lots of equipment! There are 2 days out of the month that the complex has "get togethers" for the residents, usually involving food. We've made friends with a few people, all who seem pretty genuine. Noah of course has made the most friends with all the kids running around. He just starts following them and that's that! He's such a social little bird. Speaking of birds...he has made friends with the cutest little hummingbird that flies around eating bugs in a grassy area here in the complex, same time every night. Noah chases it around and actually comes very close to it sometimes. The cute lil bird likes to land on the same branch and I find it so fascinating because this has been the first time I've ever seen a hummingbird stop flapping its wings.

Charlie will be starting school on July 18th, finally. Due to some problems with financial aid he had to wait a couple months. He currently works part-time for Costco which is a couple miles down the road from us. He really likes it so far. He has already received kuddos from a supervisor and has been there maybe 3 1/2 weeks. Hmmm..do I smell advancement in the future?...sniff sniff.

I, Catrina, have been looking for jobs also, and had an interview at the hospital right down the road in the ER department as an admit, but have yet to hear from them.  I've also been going over school options and how I will come to finally complete school in "something", and that something WILL be completed!

One of our frequents lately has been the Anthem outlet mall, which has a splash pad park for kids. Noah's still not too sure about the spraying water but doesn't fuss when he does get sprayed. He's a trooper.

One really awesome thing about AZ...big 44oz $.79 Thirst Busters! Wahooo!
